Have you noticed some artful new additions up and down Central Avenue?

A Magic Garden has sprung up, turning the sidewalks of the town’s main thoroughfare into a whimsical, enchanted walkway.

Various local artists have lent their talents to further beautify Highland Park by creating gorgeous nature-inspired sculptures in the form of mushrooms, snails, peacocks, butterflies and other spring creatures.

Each piece has a brief description of the artist and his/her work, along with a poem of the artist’s choosing.  At the end of the summer, all of the beautiful pieces will be available for purchase.

The Magic Garden art walk is a wonderful collaboration between the city, artists, poets, local businesses owners, The Highland Park Art Walk, The Art Center of Highland Park to incorporate artwork into our charming downtown while recognizing and supporting the talent of some incredible local artists and poets.

So, this upcoming weekend, take a stroll through Highland Park and be transported to a Magic Garden!
