As you pack up and ready yourself for your spring vacation, make sure to make those arrangements for your pets. All over and near the North Shore there are wonderful places where your beloved pooch can have their own little vacation. Here are a few that I’ve come across:

All For Doggies in Chicago provides transportation for your pet if you don’t want to make the trek from the ‘burbs to the city, has webcams so you can see your dog while you’re away, and offers lots of extras such as bedtime stories, cuddletime, ice cream treats and premium beddings. You can have your dogs groomed before they come home, and they will send home a little “report card” so you can see the details of your pets’ stay.

They have an 8500 sq foot indoor playspace for the animals that’s both air conditioned and heated, as needed. Rover’s Place requires and evaluation for new clients, plays classical music at night to calm the dogs, has a “Zen Den” for dogs who are anxious or nervous, and web cams.

At this state-of-the art facility, dogs get three individual walks per day and four to five hours of controlled social time. And, if your dog prefers the comforts of its own home while you’re away, check out Northbrook Pet Nannies. If you have a dog that might not do well in an unknown environment with lots of other animals, this is a good way to go.
