Ravinia Festival has unveiled its 2011 season lineup!
For over 100 years, Ravinia has been THE place to go on the North Shore for an evening of picnicking and listening to live music under the stars.
Ravinia is a Highland Park gem and a summer ritual. Just grab a blanket, a bottle of wine and some good food and friends, and you’re set. Parking is available, and the park is accessible by train.
This summer’s line up is amazing and includes: the Judds, Maroon 5, Robert Plant, The Go-Go’s and the B-52’a (together!), the Bodeans, Steely Dan, Gipsy Kings, Lyle Lovett, Jennifer Hudson, KD Lang, Darryl Hall and John Oats, Yo-Yo Ma, Wynton Marsalis, and ofcourse, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The kids will love Justin Roberts and Ralph’s World. It’s disappointing not to see Sting’s name on the schedule, but at least he made an appearance last year.
The season runs from June 9th through September 11th. Tickets are on sale now for donors, and will be available for non-donors on April 27th.
