After a hugely successful introduction last year, Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau (CNSCVB), along with its industry partners, is pleased to announce that North Shore Restaurant Month is back! Modeled after the traditional restaurant week concepts that are offered in major cities throughout the country, North Shore Restaurant Month takes it to the next level by featuring an entire month’s worth of exceptional dining offers (rather than just limiting the offers to 7 days).

From Tuesday, February 1st through Monday, February 28th, 40 North Shore restaurants will be participating in North Shore Restaurant Month by offering their customers free appetizers or free desserts (with the purchase of an entrée), 10 to 20% off their entire bill, and 2 for 1 dining specials. In addition, some of the restaurants are preparing specially priced 3 and 4-course prix-fixe menus in celebration of the month-long event.

“The culinary talent on Chicago’s North Shore is unsurpassed,” said Gina Speckman, Executive Director of Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Not only do we have gifted and award-winning chefs, but the diversity of the cuisine that is offered in our region rivals any major city in the world,” she adds. “The North Shore dining scene truly has something for everyone!”

Among those participating in North Shore Restaurant Month are Bistro Bordeaux (Evanston), California Pizza Kitchen (Northbrook and Skokie), Francesca’s North (Northbrook), Lulu’s Dim Sum & Then Sum (Evanston), Maggiano’s Little Italy (Skokie), Pensiero Ristorante (Evanston), Pinstripes (Northbrook), Ra Sushi (Glenview), Restaurant Michael (Winnetka), Ruth’s Chris (Northbrook), and Zingarella (Glenview).

“North Shore Restaurant Month is a wonderful opportunity for the public to experience a new restaurant or return to one of their favorites” says Speckman. “We are very excited about the restaurants that chose to be involved this year, and we hope that the public takes advantages of the wonderful offers being made!”
